OK. It is official. I am now registered for something incredibly crazy. I haven’t been on a bike since I was a teen, I have never run any kind of a race, and I cannot swim a lap in a pool without needing a break.
Why should that stop me, though. On August 8 I will swim .2 mile, bike 9.5 miles, and run 3 miles. Since this is now 4 and a half months away, I probably should get started with a little training. My goal is to start no later than April 1 (I know April fool’s day). Guess who’s the fool?
From what I gathered this past Sunday, I think we are going to have maybe 30-40 people from Grace do this thing (many of whom who are like me and have never done anything like it). I think it is going to be a blast. I am looking forward to this forcing me to get in shape as well.

I’m up early and have a great idea. I know because we love you and your family so much, the members at Grace will want to minister to you in this time of need. I beleive I can optain a 1952 Schwinn (Corvette model ) bike. The tires are original and made of real rubber. I beleive it is a 3 speed which will help you in the hills. As far as the swim I think we can take up and offering to buy a scooter that is used in scuba diving which will help you in the last leg of the swim. As far as the running I have no ideas yet. There will probably be someone else in the body to minister wisdom in this area to you. God Bless you in this great spirtual experience. . js

Hei everybody, Happy April Fool’s Day!!!
A police officer in a small town stopped a motorist who was speeding down Main Street.
“But, officer,” the man began, “I can explain”
“Just be quiet,” snapped the officer. “I’m going to let you cool your heels in jail until the chief gets back.”
“But, officer, I just wanted to say”
“And I said to keep quiet! You’re going to jail!”
A few hours later the officer looked in on his prisoner and said, “Lucky for you that the chief’s at his daughter’s wedding. He’ll be in a good mood when he gets back.”
